IMPHAL, June 4: The All Manipur Municipality Employees and Workers Union (AMME & WU), Manipur has resolved to take mass casual leave on June 5, 6 and 7, 2013 and warned to launch intense democratic agitations if Municipal Employees are not given 6th Pay like that given to all other state employees.
A statement of AMME & MU said a charter of demands submitted to concerned authority on May 29 last stated that the ROP 2010 being given to the state government employees since April 2010 should also be given to employees of the eight Municipalities in the state sooner.
The pension and retirement benefits given to state government employees should also be given to Municipal employees, and the service cadre should be made for them too, the statement added.
