IMPHAL, July 30: Konthoujam Maikel Meetei who lost both his legs during a bomb blast on December 16, 2007 at Pourabi today concluded his two days first solo exhibition 2013 which was sponsored by Spastic Society of Manipur.
The exhibition was held at Nupilal Memorial Complex, Imphal.
The artist showed his heartfelt appreciation towards the print and electronic media also for participating in the exhibition, and had also said that more than 200 people including other artists and students had visited his art exhibition.
The State Kala Academy and Bal Bhawan took the initiative of booking some artwork for their collection so as to help in the artist’s future works.
The artist further appealed that the government should take up some initiatives and programs for the artists’ to market their arts through the concerned departments of the Govt and the talented should also be given some extra opportunities for government jobs.
