CHANDEL, July 27: Following a meeting of held today in connection with the brutal killing of DK James Moshilpha Maring on July 3, Chandel Naga People’s Organization has come out with a resolution to press their charter of demands.
The Charter of demands urges the government to identify the culprit and punish according to the law of the land.
It had further demanded provision of a govt job to the kin of the deceased, compensation to be given to the bereaved family as per the customary law of the Maring Naga Tribe and shifting of the crime investigating authority to the court of the SP Chandel instead of Thoubal.
According to the release issued in this regard, the CNPO will be compelled to launch series of agitation from August 4 onwards, if the Govt. fails to fulfill its demands before its deadline,
