KCP cadre held

IMPHAL, July 23: The Imphal East Superintendent of Police has today released a press note saying that a CDO team of the district along with lady police under the supervision of M Rajen Singh, Additional SP arrested one woman cadre of KCP-MC (Luwangba) on July 22 at 02:35 pm.

The statement identified the arrested woman as Takhellam (n) Sagolsem (o) Bimola Devi (38), wife of Sagolsem Marjit Singh alias Ibomcha of Uchiwa Leirak Achouba Mayai Leikai and said she was arrested from Imoinu Keithel beside a tea stall.

It continued that twelve demand letters of KCP-MC (Luwangba) duly signed by one Leisemba Mangang s/s finance secretary of the organization along with one mobile phone with Airtel SIM card were recovered from her possession, it said.

On further verification, she disclosed that she is an active member of KCP-MC (Luwangba) and joined the organisation through one Anju Singh alias Leishemba (42), who is now reportedly at Nepal, it said.

In another occasion, the same Imphal East district CDO under the supervision of Additional SP M Rajen Singh, MPS has on the same day arrested one RPF/PLA cadre at 4:25 pm while further adding the arrested cadre of RPF/PLA was identified as Takhellmabam Imoba Singh alias Kaka, (50), son of (L) T Babu Singh of Nongren Maning Leikai from Hatta in front of Orient Hotel along with one Nokia mobile phone from his possession, it said.

On verification, he disclosed that he is an active member of RPF/PLA and working under the command of one Melei, s/s captain of RPF/PLA who is operating from Myanmar, it said.

Meanwhile, the Imphal West Superintendent of Police in a separate press note has said that CDOs of the district arrested one active worker of KCP on July 21 at 07:30 pm from Masjid Road and further identified the arrested person as one Leishangthem Cyprus alias Michael alias Ngouba alias 2HC (30), son of L Babu Singh of Khurai Sajor Leikai along with one mobile handset and a sum of Rs 4800.
