RECS implementation training begins

IMPHAL, July 31: The ADC Chairman of the Churchandpur District, Langkhanpau Guite today inaugurated training program for implementation of Regional Electronic Clearing Service (RECS) at the office of the Deputy Commissioner of the district. The Treasury office of the district organised the function, said a DIPR press release.

Langkhanpau Guite as chief guest of the function said that RECS will make the payment for various govt schemes and also govt employees easier while it will enhance the administration more transparent, and further continued to appeal to DLOs to work towards achieving the system beneficial to people, it said.

During the function, Director of Treasury & Accounts, Kirankumar Singh said that if e-payment system is implemented effectively, withdrawal of cheques, cash and drafts will avail in time and further told that the system is already implemented in the district of Imphal East and West, it added.

In continuation of his address, the Director of the Treasury & Accounts said that this system of RECS will also be introduced in all Treasury offices except Jiribam substation.

Konsam Binku, Treasury Officer of the Imphal Treasury commented that RECS will allow fund to other parts of India, it said.

It is said that RECS will introduce to all the DDO, DC office, the six subdivisions, Transport Department and Employment Exchange under this Treasury office from the month of October of this year, it said.

Maniram Sharma DLOs, staffs of the Deputy Commissioners and banks participated the training program, the DIPR said.
