IMPHAL, July 27: Suspected NSCN (IM) militants today hurled a hand grenade at the residence of M Ngarami at Tangkhul Avenue under Lamphel Police this late evening which exploded near the residential gate.
However, there were no reports of any human casualty from the blast except for some minor damage on the gate.
According to reliable sources the incident occurred around 7:40 pm at the residence of Social Worker M Ngarami (50), son of (L) Mahini Tangkhul of Chadong Village Ukhrul District at present staying at Nagaram and no one was injured in the blast.
A team of lamphel police and office in charge Imphal west commando Inspector John rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.
