JIRIBAM, August 30: The 7th IRB Battalion today celebrated its 7th Rising Day at Umathel, Jiribam with the Commandant of the battalion hoisting the flag of the unit.
After paying homage to the deceased soldiers of the battalion, the Commandant along with other personnel inspected the guard quarters and barracks followed by a feast which was attended by officials from Government Departments in Jiri, CRPF and media persons.
Jawans of the battalion also organised a volleyball match and other events in the evening. Later, the Commandant handed over several items to Gil Gal Orphanage Home, Uchathol.
