Jiribam student`s union submits memo to Edu Min

JIRIBAM, August 2: Demanding termination of four teachers of the Jiribam Government Higher Secondary School as they fail to turn up at the School to teach students for the last many years, a joint memorandum signed by presidents of AMSU Dist Committee and MSF Special Branch, Jiribam have been submitted to the Education Minister of the State through the ADC Jiribam Y Iboyaima.

In the memorandum, it stated that the Jiribam Government Higher Secondary School is the only good government’s school in Jiribam but most of the lecturers are contract lecturers with only one regular lecturer.

Despite the repeated appeals to address the long pending demands, the authority has been staying indifferent. So, the irresponsible/undutiful contract and regular lecturers should be dismissed or terminated their posts. And those lecturers should not be allowed to teach in the school, the memorandum said.
