IMPHAL, August 30: The Superintending Engineer, Transmission Circle, Electricity department has notified in a statement that the 12.5 MVA, 132/33 KV power transformer installed at 132/33 KV Sub-Station, Rengpang has been shut down with effect from August 25, 2013 due to some unwarranted symptomatic technical malfunctioning. Testing and renovation of the said machine may take about one month. During this period, power supply to Tamenglong town, Tousem, Rengpang, Khongshang and Nungba area will be badly affected.
