IMPHAL, August 29: Parents and guardians of four young boxers presently staying at Special Area Game today alleged that the hostel warden has been mentally torturing the four for some time now.
Speaking to media persons, the parents of the boxers Toijam, Robertson of Moirang Santrok; Soram Jim of Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai; Laishram Sanathoi of Waikhom and Mutum Bigyananda of Seijang today claimed that the teachers of the SAG have been mentally torturing the four by alleging that the four had arrived at the hostel after consuming alcohol.
They further demanded evidence from the teachers of any instance when the four had arrived after consuming alcohol and said that they will accept any punishment meted out if evidence is provided.
