LAMKA, August 1: The Zomi Students’ Federation (ZSF) in a press hand out has expressed profound gratitude over the appointment of PC Lawmkunga as the Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur.
The ZSF also expressed its appreciation to the Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh by restoring and honoring the “rarest of the rare post” to the most senior IAS officer of the state.
It said that this shows the maturity of the government as the officer is from a minority tribal community of the state.
The statement further wished the new Chief Secretary saying, “May God bless and give you wisdom and insight to serve the people during your tenure as the Chief Secretary of Manipur”.
Meanwhile, the Paite Tribe Council (PTC) General Headquarter has also, in a press hand out, expressed its great pleasure in the appointment of Lawmkunga as the new Chief Secretary of Manipyuur.
It said, “The PTC Gen. HQ heartily facilitate PC Lawmkunga, the senior most IAS officer in Manipur and morning star among the Zo descendents”.
The PTC is hopefull that the people of Manipur in general and the tribal in particular will achieve many thing under his Shri PC Lawmkunga`s tenure, it said.`
