Board to debar students of unrecognized schools

    IMPHAL, Sept 4: Some of the schools recognized by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur have been sending up students from unrecognized schools as their own students for taking the HSLC examinations. This practice is in contravention of existing rules and regulations prescribing code of conduct to be followed by the recognized schools, said a notification of the Board of Secondary Education Manipur.

    The notification further said that all recognized schools are requested not to indulge in such unfair practices. It is also reiterated that all such students from unrecognized schools are not eligible to take the HSLC examinations and their names shall be deleted from the list of candidates. It has also been decided that in the event of any such malpractices, the defaulting recognized schools shall be liable to pay a fine of Rs. 1,00,000/ (rupees one lakh only) failing which, the school shall be debarred from sending up candidates for any future HSLC examination, it said.
