IMPHAL, September 27: A Joint Action Committee (JAC) has been formed against the alleged molestation and attempt to rape and murder a seven years old minor girl by L Iboyaima, a rifleman driver of 5th MR, Khongjaron on September 12 last on September 25 with. The JAC has Pantipuilu as convenor and Khanghem Maringmei as secretary along with 49 executive members.
The JAC condemned the incident at Cheirap Court on September 23 where some of the accused’s relatives acted aggressively using foul and abusive language which ultimately led to a scuffle between the girl`s family members and the relatives of the accused while the accused was produced before the court.
In this regard, the JAC has appealed to the accused party to abstain from indulging in provocative activities and co-operate with the proceedings of the law. It may be mentioned that the minor girl was allegedly molested and attempted to rape and murder by the accused on September 12 while she was waiting for other fellow students inside the bus at bus stand near DC Bungalow, Tamenglong District.
