IMPHAL, Sept 29: Claiming responsibility for the attack at the post of D-Coy of 44 AR, the Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) in a statement said that atleast 6 personnel of the AR have been inflicted with serious injuries and observed that there may be a death toll as well. A statement issued by Bangkim, Chief of the department of Publicity, RPF, stated that the attack was carried out by a team around 3:30 pm under the tactical command of the outfit using RPG, M-79 and other sophisticated weapons. The attack was carried out while the AR personnel were in fall in, using RPG.
Claiming that there was no casualty among the cadres who carried out the attacked, it pledged that the outfit will relentlessly continue its offensive against the security forces.
