IMPHAL, October 1: The All Manipur Muslims (Meitei Pangal) Welfare Association in a hurriedly convened meeting at its office at Babupara, Imphal today extended its deep concern and gratitude to the people of Manipur and the Jananeta Hijam Irawat Celebration Committee in getting the association’s founding president and veteran Muslim leader of the state A Halim Chowdhury, honoured with the prestigious Hijam Irawat Award 2013 which was conferred on the occasion of the 117th Birth Anniversary of Jananeta hijam Irawat, September 30, 2013, said a statement of the association.
