IMPHAL, Oct 1: Based on specific intelligence, the troops of 9 and 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under the supervision of HQ IGAR (south) launched combined operation in general area of ward No 7, Moreh and apprehended one UNLF (OGW) cadre on September 30, said a press release of the PRO, HQ IGAR (south).
The apprehended UNLF is identified as Kh Ratan Meitei (40), son of (L) Kh Tem Singh of Turel Wangma Leikai, ward No 8 Moreh in Chandel district, it said.
One Chinese grenade was recovered from him and later on, he was handed over to Imphal west police station along with the recovered items, it said.
