KANGPOKPI, October 1: Col Dinesh Singh, Commanding Officer 9th Dogra inauguated a Ground dedicated by Red Shield division to the people of Wakotphai Village situated along Imphal-Tamenglong Road under Sadar Hills Senapati district on September 24 amidst a huge gathering of village authorities, local people including Pastors, Reverend, dignitaries and social workers.
Speaking on the dedication and inauguration function, Col.Dinesh Singh, CO 9th Dogra delivered the message of Maj.General K.K.Sinha, SM, GOC Red Shield Division which gave the central themes of society building through empowerment of youths.
Col.Dinesh Singh, CO 9th Dogra emphasized on the importance of sports and the qualities it absorbs the ideas in younger generation ensuring an all round development in their personality.
On behalf of the people of Wakotphai village Thangjalam Hangshing, Chairman of Wakotphai Village Authority thanked the GOC Red Shield Division for the consistent support that has been provided to the people of Wakotphai.
He also conveyed gratitude of the people of Wakotphai village particularly the youths to the 9th Dogra under Red Shield Division for their support, persistence and guidance in constructing the ground which has been dedicated to the people.
