IMPHAL, October 22: MHGAU Golapati defeated UDO, Heingang by 2-1, today in the first match of the ongoing Ng Boboi Memorial 2nd Division Football League Tournament at ABA Ground, Kshetrigao organized by the Imphal East District Football Association.
Jiaur Rahaman scored the opening goal for the Golapati team in the 21st minute of the match.
However, Kh Seityajit of Heingang team scored the equalizer in the second half of the match in the 56th minute.
Suraj scored the winning goal in the 61st minute of the match for the Golapati side.
In another match of the day, NIVSO Keibi defeated BYPC Bashikhong by 2-1.
The first half of the match ended in a goalless draw, with N Prathar scoring the opening goal for BYPC in the second half in the 51st minute.
W Shanta of NIVSO equalised the goal in the 52nd minute after three minutes he scored another in the 55th minute of the match.
