CM inspects Hotel Imphal renovation

    IMPHAL, November 2: Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh visited Hotel Imphal at North AOC this afternoon to take stock of the ongoing renovation works in connection with the upcoming Sangai Festival.

    During the inspection the Chief Minister advised the concerned chief engineers to make arrangements for continuous supply of water and power to the hotel and the MD, Classic Hotel about speeding up the renovation works.

    During the visit, Ibobi told the media that in view of the Sangai Festival, 2013, the government had entrusted the renovation work to Classic Hotel management temporarily. He stated that for the matter of conversion into public private partnership model, open tendering will be done later.

    Commerce and Industry minister Govindas Konthoujam, Works minister Dr Kh Ratankumar, PHED minister I Hemochandra, parliamentary secretary (Tourism and YAS) M Prithiviraj, chief secretary PC Lawmkunga, principal secretary Commerce and Industries O Nabakishwor, chief engineers of Power, PHED and Works, Director MOBC and MD, Classic Hotel Dr Th Dhabali and other officials also accompanied the chief minister during his inspection visit.
