Four night supers looted along NH-2 near Daili village

KANGPOKPI, November 1: Four night super buses plying between Dimapur and Imphal have been looted by unidentified armed miscreants at a spot between Daili village and Yaikongpao around one and half kilometres south of Kangpokpi Police Station early this morning at around 3:45 am.

As reported, the unidentified armed miscreants who spoke Kuki dialect looted around Rs.20,000 and valuables as well as some costly mobile handset from the passenger bus bearing Regd.No.MN01-1515.

According to Kangpokpi Police, vehicle bearing Regd.No. MN05-C-0748, MN01-1515, MN01-1447 passed the police gate at around 3:28 am while another vehicle bearing Regd.No.MN01-1167 passed the gate at around 4:25 am respectively.

Unfortunately, the incident has not been reported at Kangpokpi Police Station, which is the nearest Police Station from the place of occurance but interestingly it was reported at Sekmai Police Station, which is about 1 hour drive from the place of occurance.

Mentioned may be made that, the place of occurance has been under the jurisdiction of Kangpokpi Police Station.

The matter has been reported to Kangpokpi Police Station Officer-in-Charge at around 7 am only, said police source while adding that a case has been registered at the station bearing FIR No.25(11)2013 Kpi PS U/S 400/384/34 under IPC & 25(1-C) Arms Act just after the information received at the station.

A search operation has been conducted around Kangpokpi, Daili and Yaikongpao by Senapati Police personnel led by SP Senapati.

No arrested of any suspected individual has been reported in the search operation but investigation has been going on, the police source further added.

In the meantime, senior police official of Senapati feels very unfortunate on the part of the vehicles operators as well as the passenger for reporting the incident in the unrelated place which tarnish the efficiency of Senapati Police.

The senior police official of Senapati also urged everyone to feel free and lend the fullest cooperation as well as informed any such outlaw activities to the police station concerned so as to enable them carry out their respective duty fruitfully.
