IMPHAL, November 1: A handloom showroom ‘M/S Memi Handloom and Textile Industry’ exclusively showcasing Manipuri Traditional Dress like “PHIGE and RANI” was inaugurated today at Kongpal Chanam Leikai.
The showroom belonged to Mongsatabam (O) Memi Devi two time national awardee including National Handloom Awarded 2010 and National Merit Awarded 2007. Besides that, she had been conferred with Governor Award for best woman entrepreneurs.
Th Arunkumar Singh, general manager district industry centre DIC Imphal East, was the chief guest of the inaugural function while M Damu Singh, attended as function president and L Ibetombi Devi, deputy manager-National Small Industry Co-operation and Khundonbam Chaoba Singh, Block Development Offier BDO, Imphal East C D Block Keirao Bitra were the guests of honour.
