KANGPOKPI, December 15: The charity tour within Sadar Hills organized under the leadership of Joseph Hekhup Kipgen for the more than 40 orphanage children at Agape Children Home, Kangpokpi struggling hard to excel in life concluded at Gamnom Sapormeina Community Hall today.
Agape Children Home Kangpokpi started the first charity tour on December 1 from the Kangpokpi Community Hall and the second tour from Keithelmanbi on December 7 while the third and concluding tour was organized today at Gamnom Sapormeina.
Today`s charity tour cum program was graced by Opendra Singh, SDC Gamnom Sapormeina and Thanglensei Kipgen, Branch Manager, SBI Sapormeina Branch as chief guest and guest of honour respectively while local MDC Lunthang Haokip, EM ADC Sadat Hills attended the program as a special guest.
Lamkholen Kipgen, organizing committee chairman in his keynote address lamented that the charity tour cum program has been organized to give the general public of Sadar Hills a platform to help the children who have already loss their parents.
“There is a big difference between a orphan and children who`s parents are still alive”, Lamkholen said before adding that Orphanage children have been multiply year by year in our land.
“Children whose parent are still alive have only one father and one mother but orphanage children have thousand and thousands of fathers and mothers because every father and mother are their father as well as their mother”, asserted Opendra Singh in his encouragement speech.
He further encouraged the orphanage children to do everything in time with determination to become a respectable person in future.
“No one in this world is an orphan in the eyes of God because God himself is the father as well as mother for everyone of us”, said Thanglensei Kipgen while adding that most of the VVIPs in the world are from an orphan background.
The day`s special guest, Lunthang Haokip, executive member, ADC Sadar Hills lauded the organizing committee and appreciated their effort to take up a bold step in guiding so many orphanage children whose future is totally dark to give them a bright future.
He also challenged everyone including social workers, government functionaries and other VVIPs as well as parents and guardians stamping a big question, “When will you help and give time for the orphanage children?”
Joseph Hekhup Kipgen, father of Agape Children Home, Kangpokpi express gratitude to all who help and render efforts for the success of the tour.
The concluding tour of Agape Children Home, Kangpokpi was marked with cultural dance from various cultural troupe and Gospel melodies from various Gospel artistes.
