Agreement on ZYF leaders assault case


IMPHAL, January 30: An understanding has been reached today during a meeting in connection with the physical assault to ZYF leaders on December 12, 2013 at Reangkhung village by some individuals hailing from Longmai (Noney) village.

A meeting in this regard was held at ZYF head office today.

The meeting was convened following a summon served on January 23, 2014 to three individuals namely Namdourei Dangmei, head master in-charge, Ashram School, Longmai (Noney), Dailin Kamei, asst. teacher, TADC and Lanthuiguang (Bungkhai) Kamei, secretary, village authority, Longmai (Noney) who are the mastermind and main accused in connection with the said assault incident to appear at the ZYF head office at 11:30 am on January 30, 2014. The meeting began at 11:30 am.

Zeno Kamson, ADC member of Longmai (Noney) MDC segment represented accused Dailin Kamei, asst teacher, TADC and Lanthuiguang (Bungkhai) Kamei. Gaingamlung Dangmei who a nephew of accused Namdourei Dangmei represented the head master, in-charge Ashram school, Longmai (Noney), Zeno Kamsom admitted that the incident was very unfortunate and expressed deep regret and assured to abide by any decision taken by the ZYF in connection with the incident.

He strongly requested the ZYF to forgive the mistake committed by these individuals and expressed optimistic that such incident should not recur in future and assured to extend maximum assistance. He also appealed to ZYF to reconsider and relax their decision taken earlier such as non cooperation etc.
