CHANDEL, February 26: The Anal Naga Tangpi (ANTA) has also condemned the alleged assault by security personnel at Sugnu.
Briefing media over the incidence here in Chandel, president of ANTA, Wng Kohring Victor Anal, has demanded strong action against the police personnel involved in the alleged act.
The president claimed the police personnel involved in the act should be held responsible for damaging the careers of the students.
He said HB Chinania, a daughter of HB Livingstone of Toupokpi village in Chandel district, was assaulted.
She is a student of MBC Higher secondary School, Imphal, he said.
He also identified one of the students injured as HB. Moningsisa, HSLC Examination appearing candidates from Toupokpi Govt High school. Moningsha is a brother of the girl.
Another lady seriously injured in the incidence and refereed to RIMS Imphal was identified by the President as KT Ratina Anal, wife of HB. Chaningam Anal of Tioupokpi village. Ratina is sister in-laws to the injured students HB Chanania and HB Moningsisa.
While thanking the KSO and NSUC for their timely actions in helping the victims, Kohring Victor warned that serious of agitation would be launched if the police personnel involved in the act is not punished as soon as possible.
Meanwhile Former President of Chandel Naga People’s Organization (CNPO), Gabriel Chinir while condemning the brutal assault of the students, demanded suspension of the Police personnel involved in the crime with immediate effect.
