IMPHAL, Feb 8: The attack on a Road Opening Party team of the 44 Assam Rifles, this morning around 6 was carried out by a team of the tactical command, PLA, claimed a statement of the outfit.
It said the attack was carried out in between Grihang village and Ningchou village inflicting casualties to the security team.
Further according to the statement, soon after the attack, the casualties were evacuated from the attack site in a helicopter.
