KANGPOKPI, April 27: Autonomous District Council Sadar Hills with the initiative of its chairman Haokholal Hangshing accorded a warm welcome to the players of District Sports Association Sadar Hills representing Sadar Hills at the recently concluded 1st Hill District Premier League at Churachandpur yesterday evening at the office chamber of Chairman ADC Sadar Hills.
DSA Sadar Hills bagged the runners up trophy of the league bringing home a Rs 50,000/- cheque with two individual prize.
Seisat Kipgen, EM (town adm), Haokholen Guite, member and Thanggoulun Kipgen, member ADC Sadar Hills with staff and employees of SHADC, Kangpokpi welcomed the players at the office Chamber of Haokholal Hangshing at around 9.30 am when the Sadar Hills players arrived at Kangpokpi from Churachandpur after the final match of the 1st Hill District Premier League.
Rev Tongjam Haokip, chairman KTCF have a welcoming and blessing prayer to the players.
While lauding the players of Sadar Hill DSA Sadar Hills leader Haokholet Khongsai said as the team had represented Sadar Hills, the team has decided to submit the prizes to the ADC Sadar Hills.
Accepting the submission of prizes by DSA Sadar Hills Haokholen Guite, Member ADC Sadar Hills expressed his contentment of the success of Sadar Hills players in the league while encouraging them to grab the champion trophy in the next edition.
The ADC Sadar Hills leaders also assured to felicitated the success of the Sadar Hills players accordingly after consulting with the Chairman.
The reception function has also been attended by Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills gen secy Sehjalien Gangte; members of Kangpokpi Town Committee; leaders of DSA Sadar Hills; staff and employees of SHADC Kangpokpi and Rev Tongjam Haokip, chairman Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship.
A part from bagging the runners up title Sadar Hills’ Gousem bagged Golden Boot while Laljoulen alias Boyjo bagged the Man of the Match award.
