IMPHAL, April 25: A sudden outbreak of fire at a bamboo groove near the residence of Laitonjam Premkumar, 60, of Wangkheirakpam Leirak, Wangkhei under the Porompat Police Station, Imphal East around 3.30 pm today was put off by the timely arrival of the fire service tenders.
In another incident, around 4.40 this afternoon, a fire broke out at the SAI complex, Takyel under Lamphel Police.
Fire tenders managed to put off the fire before it could do much damage.
