CHANDEL, APRIL 30: New administrative building of Anal Naga Baptist Association (ANBA) in Toupokpi was inaugurated today by CNPO President Ws Kanral Anal during an inaugural function held at Christian Centre Toupokpi under Chakpikarong Sub-division in Chandel district .
On the same day, Finance Secretary of Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC), Rev Sr Onesima while attending the inaugural function as Blessing Minister unfurl the ANBA Flag erected at the premises of the administrative block and cut a ribbon with a word of prayer as mark of dedication.
According to the report of ANBA Finance Secretary, Rev NL Kindwell, the building was constructed at the cost of Rs 14,90, 763.
Executive Secretary of ANBA, Rev Kl Tangthu in his welcome speech not only appreciated the commendable work rendered by Rev Sr Onesima, WS Kanral Anal and Ts Koningwar Anal but honoured them with a gift.
Former Executive secretary of ANBA Rev Py Volhung presented a paper on ` Brief history of Christian centre building and VP of ANBA Wng Thumdar also spoke on the occasion.
ANBA officials and staffs, Pastors of the surrounding churches and well-wishers of ANBA were present during the inaugural function.
On the other hand, CNPO President along with media visited the Community Health Centre Chakpikarong where he met the medical officers and the staffs of the hospital.
While talking to media, the hospital authority informed lack of sufficient numbers of doctors and nurses in the hospital against the required sanction post. It was also informed that the CHC Chakpikarong which the government has reportedly upgraded from PHC is still due for inauguration.
After visiting the patients admitted in the hospital, the President in his briefing to the media had appealed for the state government to redress the grievances faced by the hospital authority and expediate the inauguration of the CHC with installation of necessary equipments.
The President on behalf of the People had expressed gratitude to the MLA of 41 A/C Chandel St Nunghlung Victor for taking the initiative to black top the road stretched from Beru Khudam to Beru Wangkhera in western part of the district under the SPA.
However, the President observed that movement of heavy loaded trucks along the road should be strictly restricted to avoid road damged.
