IMPHAL, Apr 10: Preparation for the ensuing 16th Lok Sabha Election is in full swing at Imphal West District. Main activities conducted today at DC Office Complex, Imphal West, Lamphelpat include 2nd Randomization of EVMs, Commissioning of EVMs for SDOs/AROs, Lamsang & Lamphel and Training on Statutory Election Procedures of Polling Personnel under SDOs/AROs, Lamphel and Wangoi.
General Observers Chandra Bhanu, IAS and D.P. Yadav, IAS, DEO, Imphal West K. Radhakumar Singh, SDOs/AROs, representatives of political parties and election officials were present during the randomization held at Kombirei Hall located at the office complex of DC Imphal West for use in 13 Assembly segments of Imphal West District. Commissioning of EVMs for the SDOs/AROs, Lamphel and Lamsang was also taken up with the EVM Engineers.
Election training on theoretical/statutory election procedures for the conduct of poll of all the Polling Personnel appointed for election duty under SDOs/AROs Lamphel and Wangoi, Imphal West District was also conducted at separate pandals located at DC’s Office Complex, Lamphelpat.
