BISHNUPUR, June 21: As part of National Environment Awareness Campaign, the Sanatombi Oriental English School under the theme “Biodiversity Conservation” took out rally at Kumbi on June 15.
The rally as part of the campaign sponsored by the Directorate of Environment, Government of Manipur was participated by a total of 650 students and teachers of the school. The rally took place around the area of Kumbi Municipal Council.
A tree plantation drive took place after the rally in which about fruit bearing tree saplings were planted. Placards with slogan like, ‘Save plants and animals’ were also demonstrated.
Also a welcoming function for Loitonbam Bidyasagar Singh, who stood 9th position in the HSLC Exam , 2014 and Haobijam Bisheshwar Singh who scored high marks of the Kumbi Private Centre was also observed at the school on the same day.
A prize distribution ceremony for the 10 students who passed in the 1st division in the HSLC, 2013 and the first three top students of every class of the school was carried out.
