THOUBAL, September 27: A sit in protest was held at Kakching and Kakching Khunou demanding the scholarship of the scheduled caste students to be given out as soon as possible.
The protest was jointly organised by students of Kha Manipur College, Kakching and Kakching Higher Secondary School, AMSU Kakching Branch and DESAM Kakching local Council at Kakching Bazar Irabot Park and was taken part by students, parents and vendor of the Kakching market. It was stated that the protest will be held again on Monday and will also decide on the steps to be taken up against the late payment of scholarship.
A similar protest was also held at Kakching Khunou market organised by AMSU Kakching branch today. The protest was taken part by students of Kakching Khunou College, Kakching Khunou Makha High School, Gems Academy Kakching Khunou, Kakching Khunou Government High School, Emmanuel Mission School, Kakching Khunou and Chekshapat High School, Kakching Khunou.
