IMPHAL, Sept 25: The Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) has said that a spot inquiry was held at the residence of Taorem Shyamkishore if Ningthoukhong ward No. 11 in connection with the suspicious death of Heikrujam Maya alias Binotarani Devi who was found dead on September 22 at 8.30 am at the residence of her maternal grandfather.
According to a release of the MSCW, the inquiry was held by team of the Commission led by Chairperson of MSCW, Doctor L. Ibetombi Devi along with Legal Advisor, S. Meghachandra Sharma and Councilors of the Commission, I. Inaobi Devi and L. Somala Devi.
The visiting team interacted with the grandparents of the deceased. It was mentioned that the deceased girl had been living at her grandparents`™ residence along with her 3 younger brothers and mother after the separation from their father, namely, Heikrujam Ojit Singh of Malom Tuliyaima near Airport. The local people also mentioned that no person came from her father`™s side, it said.
