IMPHAL, Aug 30: Unidentified persons shot at the residence of pradhan of Uchekon Nongchup Gram Panchayat yesterday around 10:30pm.
The pradhan has been identified as as Naoroibam Anita Devi, 50 wife of N Prem Singh of Kongba Uchekon.
Sources said the police have filed a case in this regard after a written complaint was lodged with Irilbung police.
Meanwhile condemning the incident, a sit in protest was held at the locality.
