Chandel students motivated by DC on their parents` Day celebration

CHANDEL, October 3: St Peter`™s School, Monsang Pantha today celebrated Parents`™ Day with the Chandel deputy commissioner Robert Singh Kshetrimayum in attendance at its premises.

School principal Rev Fr Victor while lauding Robert for attending the celebration said the young DC who is also the youngest serving DC of Chandel is today a source of motivation for the students.

The DC on his part motivated the students to remember the love, care and affection given to them by their hard working parents who are also shadows of God.

He urged the students to think of making some good contributions to the society.

Only good education can build a good society, he said while elaborating that education begins from home and the parents should be role models for their children.

Wealth is of no use if we are unable to provide good education to our children, he said.

Fr James also thanked the parents for their trust in the school and sought further support and cooperation from the parents.

Highlights of the day`™s celebration also include cultural items, education, entertainment and many more displays from the students.

During the celebration, school fathers and principals, headmistresses, sisters from different institutions, village chiefs, pastors, reverend, catechists, church leaders, distinguished guest and invitees including parents and executives of Parents`™ Teachers`™ Association were also present.

Chandel Naga People`™s Organization president Ws Kanral also attended as functional president.
