LAMKA, Oct 10: This is the age of technology and unless one keeps oneself updated and knowledgeable, one will be left out from the race, said Saikot MLA,TN Haokip.
He was speaking as a chief guest during the annual school meet closing function of the HM English School at Laijang Khopi village, Churachandpur.
He said students need to be tuned in with the latest information on technology.
Taking the example of mobile phones, he said mobile phone are today an office in itself, he continued.
The function was also attended by guest of honour MDC Khaipau Haokip who lauded the principal Mangcha haokip for his zeal to uplift the children of the area.
MDC Nehthang Mate also attended the function as the president.
Some of the highlights of the program include a cultural dance form by class I students and a rare guard of honour, gospel songs and other cultural performances of the students.
Students also took out a march past parade during the function.
