IMPHAL, November 11: Indira Gandhi National Open University, IGNOU Regional Centre, Imphal today observed National Education Day commemorating birth anniversary of first education Minister of India Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad.
Observing the day staffs of INGOU Regional Centre, Imphal and its students paid floral tributes to the then Minister and held a rally starting from DIET Imphal, DM College Campus, Imphal to IGNOU Regional Centre, Imphal, Asha Jina Camplex, North AOC, Imphal.
The rally was participated by more than 600 including students from hills and valley.
Regional Director IGNOU Regional Centre, Imphal Dr S Dilan Singh who also participated in the rally said that the observation of National Education Day is observed on the birth anniversary of first education Minister of India Maulana Azad to promote education with the theme ‘Education to all’.
