THOUBAL, November 27: A man was killed and five others injured when a Tata Winger rammed into two two-wheelers they were riding from behind near the Sorojini Oil Pump, Wangbal under Thoubal Police on the night of November 26 around 11:45.
A Tata Winger bearing registration no MN 09 X 4952 coming from Wangjing towards Thoubal rammed into a Bajaj Pulsar bike (without registration no) and a R15 (MN 04B 3307). The two motor cycles were carrying three persons each when the accident happened.
According to the police, the dead has been identified as Takhellambam Rajesh, 29 son of Nabachandra of Thoubal Wangmataba Sorok Mathak. Rajesh was driving the Pulsar motorbike.
Meanwhile, the police have seized the involved vehicles and registered a case in this regard.
