IMPHAL, February 22: The 10th edition of Governor`™s Cup Golf Tournament 2015 organised at Mantripukhri Ecological Park & Training Area (MEPTA) of HQ IGAR (South) concluded with Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, attending the prize distribution ceremony as the chief guest.
A number of players under three teams MEPTA, MGA (Manipur Golf Association) and RSEPTA (Red Shield Ecological Park and Training Area) participated in the tournament.
The overall trophy for Governor`™s Cup 2015 was won by MEPTA. Ladies putting competition was also organised as part of the event.
The tournament which was aimed at promoting and development of the game of golf in Manipur was appreciated by the players of MGA and they applauded the efforts of Assam Rifles for their contribution of extending the facilities of MEPTA to the civil society, said a release of IGAR (S).
