IMPHAL, February 25: Two non-locals who went from door to door claiming to be gold polishers were caught and paraded before the media today at Manipur Press Club, Imphal.

Convenor of the JCILPS Students Wing, M Ngamba said there have been many cases in which non-local thugs lured innocent people of the State and have gone unpunished.

Since they go unpunished, such cases have increased, he said, adding that the two non-locals were pulled up today from Langthabal Mantrikhong. He said the non locals have entered the State with fake Ids, adding that many of the migrants have duped the locals.

He further expressed that it is time to regulate stronger bills during the assembly session before it is too late. M Ngamba has also asked people to inform them if they come across non locals engaged in any suspicious activities.
