MOREH, Feb 4: The Meetei Council Moreh distributed eatables like rice, pulses, potatoes, oil and salt etc to drivers and owners of vehicles stranded at Moreh town parking due to the ongoing bandh along Imphal-Moreh road.
Around 30 vehicles and above 100 passengers are stranded at Moreh due to the bandh.
Many of them mostly taxi drivers and vehicles owners are taking shelter at Moreh Town parking.
MCM distributed these eatables considering the hardships faced by these people due to the bandh, said MCM president M Thoiba Meetei speaking to media persons.
MCM also supports the bandh as we think what the villagers of Tengnoupal are demanding are right, he added.
