THOUBAL, March 23: A sit in protest was held today at Thoubal Athokpam Bus Waiting Shed by members of Panchayati Raj Institute (PRI) against the planting of bomb at the residence gate of Thoubal Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha, Kh. Surnalata of Khangabok Keithel.
During the sit in protest, the protestors put up placards demanding the reason behind the bomb threat and by whom and demanded the thrust as well.
Speaking on the protest, a PRI member has stated that the member condemned the planting of bomb at the Adhyaksha`™s house and also stated that the event was wrong. Threat to Adhyaksha is threat to all PRI members. The small funds provided to PRI members are for the public and no one has the right to get involved, said the PRI member. The member also appealed no to cause such threat in the future and also appealed to give a clarification on the threat as well. It may be mentioned that the bomb was placed at the gate of Adhyaksha Surnalata`™s residence gate on March 21.
