IMPHAL, March 13: The Umang Lai Kanba Lup, UKAL, in a release said the organisation mourns the passing away of one of the pioneering spirits behind the preservation of the traditional religious practice of Umang Lai worship, 87 year old, Soiraisam Aber of Huikap Mayai Leikai. The octogenarian left for his heavenly abode on March 5 leaving his well wishers and followers heart broken.
