BISHNUPUR, April 26: organized a one-day Awareness for the Welfare of the Disabled Persons in the Society organized by Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Bishnupur District was held at Kwakta Santhong Makha Leikai Community Hall in Bishnupur today.
The programme was attended by Md Bharat Shah, Zilla Parishad Member as chief guest; Bantee Konthoujam, SDO Moirang as president; A Kameshwar, District Social Welfare Officer Bishnupur; L Ibomcha, retd DSW & ex-State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities; P Sharatchandra, Principal Secretary and L Joy, principal of Loyalam Public School as guests of honour.
Along with distributing old age pension to beneficiaries, aid & appliances, textbooks and exercise books were also presented to children of BPL families and differently abled persons during the programme which was also attended by villagers from neighbouring villages.
