IMPHAL, April 11: Paying homage to its nine cadres who laid down their lives fighting against the Indian occupational forces in pursuit of the war for independence of Manipur on April 13, 1982 at Kodompokpi, the outlawed Revolutionary People`™s Front (RPF) and its armed wing PLA has appealed to the people to pay floral tributes at the sacred memorial site at Cheiraoching on the occasion of `Athoubasing gi ningsing numit`™ which falls on April 13.
A statement signed by Roben Khuman, Secretary Publicity of RPF also appealed to the people to illuminate light in every entrance of houses in evening of the day and cease any kind of entertainment programmes except religious rituals on the day.
