IMPHAL, 12 May: Ahead of its ensuing 39th election scheduled to be held on May 21, the All Manipur Bar Association (AMBA) conducted scrutiny of candidates who filed nominations to contest in the election at its office located at the complex of Uripok Cheirap Court, Imphal West today.
Sources said three had field nominations for the post of president, four for two seats of vice-president, three for one seat of general secretary, four for three seats of joint secretary and eight for eight seats of executive member.
As claims were made by the intending candidates for the post of general secretary, the association resolved to discuss the matter on May 14 to bring an amicable solution.
