IMPHAL, May 17: Commemorating the 2nd Anniversary and Golden Jubilee of Mt. Everest summit by MMTA and Indian Mountaineers, the MMTA and AMWJU organised a speed climbing competition at Kangla Wall of Minuthong.
IFP`™s reporter Y Samarjit Singh, bagged the first position in the below 40 years category while AMWJU`™s vice-president AMWJU Ratan Luwang begged the first position in the 40 years above category, secretary of AMWJU Jit Ningomba and People`™s Chronicle Imo Singh begged second and third position in the 40 years above Man`™s category.
In the 40 years below category, ISTV W Kumarjit Singh and Pandam Ch Leikoiba begged the second and third place.
In the women`™s 40 years above category, Sonia Sorensangbam of Poknapham begged the first position, S Bimola of Senmitlon begged second and Nomita Khonbantabam of Huyenlanpao secured the third places.
However, in the women`™s 40 years below category, E Babina Devi of Sanaleipak, Nongmaithem Reena of Impact TV and Ch Leishembi Chanu of Pandam begged first, second and third position respectively. The event was sponsored by Manipur Development Society (MDS).
