KANGPOKPI, May 13: Students are known by the way they wear their uniform and the uniform speaks of what types of students they are, asserted Lenkhomang Chongloi, sitting ADC Sadar Hills Member from Mayangkhang DCC and maintained that uniform is the voiceless messenger to the outside world for the student community.
The local sitting MDC was speaking during a school uniform distribution function under Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi today at the school premises of Taphou Kuki UJB School.
Students of Taphou Kuki UJB School were distributed school uniform under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan free of cost by the sitting MDC Lenkhomang Chongloi in the presence of Taphou church leaders, youths, teachers and parents.
The function was also attended by the school Headmaster Lhunthang Kipgen and Taphou Kuki village authority.
While emphasizing the importance of school uniform, Lenkhomang Chongloi motivated the students to know the value of their uniform and take care, love and maintain cleanliness while wearing it.
With the Government doing its part by providing adequate teachers, school building and other infrastructures; parents should also give a helping hand to the school management in taking care of their ward at home like the teachers do at schools, said Lenkhomang Chongloi.
He continued that when the school management and concerned parents actively cooperate, student will certainly learn to become good citizen in the future.
Conveying gratitude to the Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, Kangpokpi Block for its liberality and mindfulness for the welfare of the student community in the state, Lenkhomang Chongloi also articulated his gratefulness to Jacintha Lazarus, Deputy Commissioner Senapati who is also the Chairman of Education Board, Senapati for her uninterrupted concern and love for the students in the district and also the Headmaster of the school and the teaching staffs.
`My main objective as a government employee in the education sector and particularly as a Headmaster of this school is to educate children`, said Lhunthang Kipgen, Headmaster of Taphou Kuki UJB School.
