IMPHAL, Jun 7: Anti-AFSPA crusader Irom Sharmila Chanu returned today from the national capital, where she appeared before the court of metropolitan magistrate, Patiala house court.
Commenting on the Chandel ambush as she was being taken to the JNIM Medical Ward, Sharmila said violence will not bring peace in the land, it will only bring downfall.
She also said that her movement demanding repeal of AFSPA will continue until the demand is met.
Sharmila also observed that it needs a sincere collective effort from the people to bring tranquility in the State.
