IMPHAL, July 16: For tomorrow, the indefinite curfew imposition in Imphal West and Imphal East district by orders of its District Magistrates from 4 pm of July 8 will be relaxed for 13 hours from 5 am to 6 pm.
The curfew was clamped in view of the volatile situation prevailing in the districts following the death of a student of AnandaSingh Higher Secondary Academy in police excesses during a protest staged on July 8 demanding enforcement of Inner Line Permit System in the state.
Mention may be made that the curfew in the districts was relaxed for 12 hours today from 5 am to 5 pm.
