Man accused in killing uncle surrenders

IMPHAL, July 6: The accused person in the gun attack on his two uncles killing one and leaving the other injured on June 30 evening, has surrendered to police today along with the license gun used in the attack.

According to reports, the accused person identified as Khulem Jiten Singh, 36 son of Kh Kendrajit Singh of Naoremthong Khulem Leikai, Imphal West surrendered to Additional SP/LO Imphal West Dr S Ibomcha Singh along with the license gun and four live rounds.

Kh Jiten fired shots from his license gun at his two uncles identified as Khulem Priyabanta Singh, 54 alias Nungshitombi and Kh Krishnamohon Singh leaving them badly injured on June 30. Krishnamohon died following the next day at Shija Hospital after a brief treatment.
